OHCHR Call for inputs: Mental Health Challenges & Young People's Human Rights
What weighs on young people’s minds the most? This question was asked to nearly 300 children and young adults aged 11–25. Despite differences in age, respondents agreed on one key issue: mental health. United Nations Human Rights (OHCHR) is currently preparing a report examining how mental health challenges affect young people’s ability to fully enjoy their human rights. The study will be presented at the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in September this year.
Stakeholders, experts, and organizations working with children and young people are invited to contribute their experience, data, and examples of good practice. The collected inputs will help amplify the voices of young people and highlight gaps in state policies addressing mental health. Help amplify the voices of young people and draw attention to gaps in state policy. The deadline for submissions is 20 February.
